3D-Visualisierung von Bordnetzkommunikation im Fahrzeug

This diploma thesis deals with a 3D-visualization in the field of an analysis of in-car communication processes. State of the art analysis-tools only use a two-dimensional approach to visualize communication processes and relationships. Two different prototyps, both using a treedimensional visualization, were already developed in cooperation with BMW. Because these prototyps were never evaluated adequately, the first part of this thesis will be the evaluation of both tools. The findigs of the evaluation can be used to create a collection of different ideas for a proper 3D-visualization. The collection will be presented to analysis-experts working at BMW, using a user centered approach to create a final concept for a 3D-visualization. Afterwards this concept will be implemented with a possible connectivity to other visualizationtools, so that a 3D-view can be used in a Multi Coordinated View (MCV) system. At the end of this thesis the implemented prototype will be evaluated to be able to estimate the possibilities of an 3D-visualization integrated into an MCV system.
