Problem Statement
In this thesis, we explore how small, interactive elements - like inline widgets - can help shape the way a story unfolds. For example, a character widget might let an author edit a character's traits, and those changes could automatically adjust how that character acts across the story. Instead of building a complete storytelling system, our focus is on design concept that support writers as they work. This concept will allow edits to specific parts of the storyâlike a character or settingâto ripple out and influence the broader narrative when needed. By making it easier to see and control how local changes affect the big picture, this approach helps writers stay flexible, creative, and in control of their stories.

- Perform a literature review. Identify key challenges and gaps in current approaches to using dynamic widgets in creative writing tools
- Implement an interactive website for the users
- Conduct a user study
- Do a statistical evaluation
- Write a thesis and present your findings in the Disputationsseminar
- (Optional:) co-write a research paper
