Squishy: Your Embodied AI Companion

Engaging with Generative AI (GenAI) can be frustrating as we sometimes get responses we do not expect or that are simply incorrect. Moreover, even though GenAI platforms, like ChatGPT, offer feedback options to indicate that an answer is bad/incorrect, users barely use them. However, user engagement would be very useful for the AI's learning process. We suggest an embodied AI companion that allows fun interactions with GenAI to get rid of anger and encourage feedback. You will:

• Perform a literature review
• Build Squishy 2.0
• Integrate more detailed interaction options than just "good" and "bad"
• Conduct a user lab study
• Analyze the data
• (Optional) co-writing a research paper

You need:

• Strong communication skills in english and german
• Hardware prototyping experience
• Creativity
• Data analysis skills using Jupyter Notebooks and Python (for quantitative data)
