Research

Coming from a human-computer interaction (HCI) background, I am currently looking at user interfaces for collaborative learning. In particular, I focus on the role of personal and shared displays in different learning phases in co-located settings. Depending on the scenario different technologies are used, such as:

Interactive tables and walls
Large wall displays
TabletPCs
Laptops
PDAs etc.

As an educational foundation I am using collaboration scripts, which are descriptions of effective learning scenarios defined by educationalists. In several mini-projects technological support for one these scenarios is developed in cooperation with the Department for Educational Psychology (LMU).
