Hybrid Interactions on In-Car Touch Interfaces
Workshop AutoNUI: Automotive Natural User Interfaces, in conjunction with the international Conference on Automotive User Interfaces and Interactive Vehicular Applications - Automotive UI 2011, Salzburg, Austria, November 30th - December 2nd, 2011
We present a low fidelity prototyping tool for hybrid interactions on touch-based capacitive sensing screens. Providing physical handles for certain actions on these screens can decrease the attention required via touch input, leading to a safer driving task. Our toolkit allows the fast and inexpensive simulation of hybrid interactions on capacitive sensing devices, assisting the design process of such systems.
