Content
The "Workshop Persuasive Technology", with its topic "Smart and Wearable Technologies to Support Health", provides a hands-on introduction to the development of health applications on smartphones and smartwatches, with a particular focus on the equipped sensor technology of the devices. Following an introductory phase into the Android framework and a conceptualization phase, participants in small groups will work out their own solutions for the given topic. During the implementation phase, a larger, innovative concept is to be developed and implemented in the small groups. In order to coordinate teamwork, a suitable, predefined software development process will be used.
Basic knowledge of object-oriented programming is required; Previous knowledge of mobile development is desirable.
Please note that a laptop is required to participate in the workshop. We encourage international students to apply as well. In that case, the course will be held in English.
Attendance is mandatory during the whole period of the workshop! Depending on the individual results of the groups, additional work may be required after the workshop has finished in order to justify the ECTS credits.
- Students of Media Informatics (Bachelor, Master)
- Students of Art and Multimedia (Bachelor) with fitting qualifications
