Task

Description

Project Overview

There has been rapid development in technologies that aim to support the needs of neurodivergent individuals in navigating everyday life and improving their wellbeing. Addressing the differences in perception and cognition, multiple mechanisms are available to ease self regulation, focus improvement and stress management. One very promising approach is neurofeedback - a method of brain tracking in connection to a specific activity. In the past, this non invasive method used to be practiced in a lab, with the assistance of a professional. However, nowadays there are tracking opportunities via consumer devices that can be done in the comfort of one's home. We would like to investigate the need for these devices and in which context could they provide maximum support to suit the needs of neurodivergent individuals.

Project Goals

In this project, you will find a scenario to inspect the usefulness and improvement of brain tracking for neurodivergent individuals

You will

  • Design a scenario where the participants can be familiarized with the device and try it out
  • Develop the set up of the experiment and a questionnaire/li>
  • Conduct a user study with ND participants
  • Collect and analyze the collected data
  • Summarize findings in a thesis and present them to an audience
  • (Optional) Co-write a research paper based on the results

You need

  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Strong MOTIVATION and interest in qualitative research
