Research Interests
Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) is quickly becoming one of the most influential technologies of our time. Still, the interaction with GenAI remains very one-dimensional, as most interfaces rely on chat-based input windows. I want to address this gap by exploring alternative input methods that are based on tangible interactions. To do so, I employ a user-centered design approach, getting in contact with users early in the development process and explore the design space using a research through design methodology that uses prototypes to iterate on concepts. Ultimately I want to remove barriers that exist for different user groups when interacting with GenAI, such as people with disabilities, elderly or children. I am also interested in deformable/flexible Interfaces because their organic shapes and intuitive interaction methods can potentially conform better to human bodies than traditional rigid interfaces.News
- I am co-organizing the Workshop "Be-Greifbare Interaktion" on MuC 2025 in Chemnitz.
