Task
Problem Statement
This thesis aims to quantitatively explore the phenomena of "mobile phone rabbit holes". You will be re-designing an experience sampling questionnaire and implementing it into a prototype that collects and labels data relevant to mobile phone rabbit holes. This thesis seeks to deeply explore and examine the context of mobile phone rabbit holes, as a tool for individuals, and research bodies, to understand smartphone use behaviours better.
Tasks
- Customisation of an existing (!) experience sampling prototype in Android (Kotlin)
- Run data collection study
- (MT only:) Quantitative data analysis with Python
- Write a report (EP) or thesis (MT) and present your findings in the Disputationsseminar
- (Optional:) co-write a research paper
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of user research
- Experience with Android development (Kotlin)
- (MT only:) Experience with Python data analysis
