Syllabus

This course provides an overview of techniques for creating digital media. It covers a variety of topics:

  • Hardware-related aspects of media technology (input/output technologies, film/video technology, etc.)
  • Information on media design and stylistic elements
  • Practical work on the creation and editing of various media products (photos, videos, audio, social media)

In the lecture, the topics are covered in such a way that the topics in the practical exercises and lab sessions are each grounded in the relevant technical background provided in the lecture.

The target audience is second-semester undergraduate students majoring or minoring in Media Informatics.

Assessment

To pass the course, students must submit and pass all individual and group assignments and attend all required sessions. There is no grading (only pass/fail). Details will be announced in class.
