Location: Zoom

Design Workshop 2 App Design
Social VR on the go
Content
Topic: Social VR on the goCoordination and Supervision: Rico Sperl, Jingyi Li
First Meeting: 15.04.2021, Do, 13-16 Uhr s.t.
Ort: Zoom
Social VR on the go - This Design Workshop 2 is about to take place online. The workshop's goal is to develop a VR app that fosters the passenger experience of a connected journey with others in a ubiquitous, related way. How to get away from the confined space of transport means to get social contacts with others in a potentially unlimited virtual environment? We will assess the requirements and the interaction framework of this use case and then incorporate them into the design and development process. Students from the majors of Kunst und Multimedia (KUMM) und Mensch-Computer-Interaktion (MCI) will work together as a team during the course. The necessary basics of UX design and design methods are taught, supported by guest speakers from various fields, and directly applied to the project work. Please note that the weekly appointment is therefore partly scheduled from 13-16 pm. The course language is German and English. The courses are aimed at all students of KUMM program and master students of MCI who are interested in creative work and practical real-world experience.
Please note that this is a preliminary schedule and there will be further changes of course content and format. Please revisit this page regularly.
