• 02.07.2009: In der nächsten Vorlesung (am 09.07.2009) wird Alex Wiethoff zum zweiten Mal einen Gastvortrag zum halten, diesmal zum Thema Videoprototyping. In dieser Vorlesung wird erklärt, wie man mit einfachen Mitteln Videoprototypen erstellen kann und damit Grundlagenwissen für das 11. Übungsblatt vermittelt.

• 02.06.2009:Most of the lecture on June 04 will be given by Alex Wiethoff from the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design who since recently is working in a project of the media informatics group. A large part of the next 4-5 exercise sheets will be based on the contents and examples presented inthis lecture.

• 23.04.2009: Videopodcast from WS 06/07: To avoid misunderstandings: The contents of the video recording of the MMI1 lecture as of WS 06/07 are covered in the current lecture in a very similar way. However, due to the change from 2 to 3 SWS, some parts of this term's lecture has been covered in Extension Topics in exercises and are thus not covered in the video. This means that only roughly 2/3 of the current lecture topics can be retrieved from the video podcasts.

Contents

Es wird die Informationsverarbeitung des Menschen (physiologische und psychologische Grundlagen, Modelle, Handlungsprozesse), die technische Realisierung von Benutzungsschnittstellen (Ein- und Ausgabegeräte, Interaktionsstile) behandelt und es werden benutzerorientierte Entwurfsprozesse, Evaluationstechniken, Richtlinien und Standards für Benutzbarkeit vorgestellt.

Die Lehrveranstaltung eignet sich für

• Studierende der Diplomstudiengänge Medieninformatik oder Informatik im Hauptstudium. Erwartete Vorkenntnisse: Vordiplom in Medieninformatik oder Informatik.
• Studierende des Bachelorstudiengangs Medieninformatik (Pflichtveranstaltung im 4. Fachsemester)
• Studierende des Bachelorstudiengangs Informatik als "vertiefendes Thema" (siehe Informationen zu Bachelor Informatik und Medieninformatik)
• Studierende mit (Medien-)Informatik als Nebenfach

Tutorial

Die in der Vorlesung besprochenen Inhalte werden anhand von praktischen Anwendungen eingeübt. Es sollen praktische Erfahrungen in der anwenderorientierten Entwicklung von Schnittstellen (z.B. in Prototyping und Evaluation) erworben werden.
